Hunter-Fleming,  an innovative pharmaceutical company addressing the global demand for new medicines focusing on drugs which target areas of high but unmet medical need such as neuro-degeneration, (e.g. Alzheimer’s) and chronic inflammation, (e.g. asthma, rheumatoid arthritis) was acquired by Newron SA, (www.newron.com) an Italian company quoted on the Swiss Exchange, in 2008.

MTI was the principal investor in Hunter Fleming, most recently leading a major funding round in April 2006 which brought in additional investors such as Advent international, ITX, Omega and Novaquest. This deal won International Deal of the Year award at the 2006 Investor AllStars. 

Dr. David Holbrook served as a member of the company’s board of directors.
