MTI’s latest fund, the UMIP Premier Fund, is a £32m fund which combines MTI’s skills and experience of early stage technology investing with spin-outs from one of Europe’s leading Universities: The University of Manchester. The University has a strong tradition of producing quality spin-out companies and has attracted over £150m of funding for such companies over the last 5 years.

As a late-seed fund, MTI will look to initially invest between £250k - £750k per spin-out, but with the capacity to continue investing up to an average of £2m - £3m to academics with promising technology found within the University.
